What essential oils are safe to use and avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Once spoken to your GP or specialist about your pregnancy and essential oils, you can start educating yourself on the safe application of essential oils and which oils to use without causing harm to your little one.
Below are some suggestions for essential oils that we recommend during pregnancy and your mothering journey.
Morning sickness and nausea are common during pregnancy, especially during the early stages. This can be annoying and uncomfortable and can interfere with your day. If you are looking to combat morning sickness and nausea, we suggest the following oils:
- Ginger oil
- Cardamom oil
- Peppermint oil
Try using any of these oils in a diffuser and breath them in. Ginger oil can also be rubbed on pressure points on your forehead and wrists.
We know that mums and mums to be are often running low on sleep, so we suggest diffusing the following oils to help you relax and calm the body.
- Lavender oil
- Chamomile oil
- Neroli oil
